This notice explains information used by the United States Home Health Care Nurses directory at ushhcn.com (USHHCN). For privacy questions or requests about your information, contact [email protected].
The directory’s role
USHHCN helps people explore home nursing and care providers and contact them directly. The directory is not a medical record service or an emergency service. Please do not submit patient records, diagnoses, insurance identifiers, identification documents, payment information or other sensitive patient details in listings, comments or ordinary enquiries.
Information you provide
When you create or use an account, the site processes account information such as a username, email address and profile details. When you submit a provider listing, it processes the service description, service area, professional contact details and images that you choose to provide. Published listing information is intended to be visible to visitors and may be discovered by search engines.
If you submit a comment, message or support enquiry, the site processes the content and contact details you include. Share only information appropriate for the intended recipient. Messages sent to a provider are handled by that provider under its own practices; contact the provider directly about its handling of your information.
Technical information and cookies
The website and its hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, access times and login activity to operate the site, respond to requests and address abuse. Account functions use cookies to maintain sign-in and preferences. Listing view and search statistics can be recorded to understand directory usage.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies needed for sign-in can prevent account features from working. If you choose a location-detection feature, your browser may request permission; you can decline and enter a general location instead. Do not enter a patient’s private address in a public listing.
Public website analytics
USHHCN uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to public pages. The Google tag can process browser and device information, page paths, referral sources and approximate geographic information derived by Google, and can use first-party analytics cookies configured to expire after 90 days. Google processes this information under its own privacy practices. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled, and enhanced measurement is turned off.
Tracking is excluded for signed-in users, search results, pages with query strings, and account, submission, message and payment pages. Form contents, email addresses and patient information are not intentionally sent to Analytics. Page and referral query strings are removed from the configured page-view fields. Do not put sensitive personal information in public page content or URLs. You can block analytics cookies in your browser or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
External services and links
Maps, embedded material, profile images and links can involve external providers. For example, map features may contact Google; see Google’s privacy information. Services that provide hosting, email delivery, security or other website functions process information needed for their functions. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
How information is used
Information is used to operate accounts and listings, display submitted public content, deliver account and service messages, answer enquiries, understand site use and address spam or misuse. Do not use this directory to exchange confidential clinical information. Confirm a provider’s appropriate communication process before sharing sensitive information with it.
Keeping information and requesting changes
Published content can remain visible until it is edited or removed. Account, communication and technical records may be retained as needed to operate the service, address requests or meet applicable obligations. This notice does not set a fixed retention period for every type of record.
Use available account controls to review or edit your details, or email [email protected] to request access, correction or removal. We may need enough information to verify that a request concerns your own account or content. Please do not send passwords or identity documents with an initial enquiry. Removal from this website does not automatically remove copies already held by search engines, external services or other people.
Contact and updates
Privacy requests and questions: [email protected]. This notice may be updated when website practices change; check the date above. Read the directory terms for the role and use of the service.
